As one of the aforementioned teachers, I have to admit...it has been quite a journey moving from a classroom to a downtown office building. Though there are times I miss working with students on a daily basis, working at DreamBox has been a unique experience with its own perks...for example, I no longer have to eat school lunch if I forget mine at home!

Other unique aspects include:
- the time I spend designing and iterating lessons after getting both kid and team feedback (in the classroom, you plan a lesson, teach it, and hope you remember what you want to change for the next year),
- participating in a business as a co-owner, (I actually have a voice and find that my ideas and opinions make a difference.) and,
- working with a talented, intelligent, and diverse team. (My day includes diverse activities such as meetings with developers and artists and Skype calls to team members in Bulgaria.)

I can honestly say that no matter what my future holds (from returning to the classroom to working with another start-up or raising my own children), I will be able to apply the skills and knowledge that I have gained from my experiences and relationships at DreamBox Learning.

I have to agree! I am a start-up veteran of 17 years, and I’m impressed by our teachers at DreamBox everyday. They provide strong leadership in building our math learning curriculum and keep all of us focused on the realities of being a kid ("There is no way a 6 year old is going to sit still and listen to all of that talking!"). They are also great at understanding parents and how to communicate with them.

And, last but not least, our teachers also graciously spend time answering our own parenting questions about our young children!
