Must-See DreamBox Sessions at the 2017 ASU+GSV Summit

Edtech innovators and leaders gather in Salt Lake City to shape the future of learning

The 8th Annual ASU+GSV Summit will be held next week in Salt Lake City, and members of the DreamBox management team—including myself—will be there to contribute ideas and share how we’re helping all students deeply understand and enjoy math. This three-day annual event attracts key leaders in education and technology, including entrepreneurs, teachers, administrators, policymakers, philanthropists, and university leaders from around the world. DreamBox received the ASU+GSV Return on Education Innovation award three years in a row, and our team is looking forward to sharing updates about how we’re continuing to improve student achievement and teacher agency in math.

Jessie Woolley-Wilson, our DreamBox president and CEO was the recipient of last year’s GSV Innovator of Color Award. On Monday, she’ll be moderating a fireside chat with Matthew Pittinsky and Michael Chasen, co-founders of Blackboard Inc., one of higher ed’s earliest innovators. I think this will be a popular session, so be sure to get there early.

Also on Monday, Jessie will join Dr. Julie A. Evans, CEO of Project Tomorrow, and Ann Linson, Superintendent of East Noble School Corporation in Indiana for an important conversation about teacher capacity entitled, “The Chalkboard Dilemma: New Research on Teachers’ Readiness and Willingness to Adopt Digital Tools for Learning.” Dr. Evans will reveal what a new survey of 38,000 educators nationwide revealed about the technology challenges teachers face. Find out what this distinguished panel thinks companies and school districts must do next to address teachers’ needs more effectively and solve the “chalkboard dilemma.”

In addition to Jessie and me, our VP of Business Operations, James Stoffer, will also be at the Summit sharing innovative ideas and sharing insights about the difference DreamBox is making in schools all across North America.

On Tuesday, we’ll be showing off our newest DreamBox features during a Tomorrowland Demo in Imperial Ballroom B, so be sure to stop by, say hello, and take a look at our exciting expansion into new math concepts, data visualizations, teacher tools, and PD offerings. You won’t want to miss our sessions at this year’s Summit, so make note of them in the list below.
