Tuesday Teacher Tips: Parent Communication
Welcome to the Tuesday Teacher Tips series! Each week we’ll highlight teaching and learning resources, ideas to use in the classroom, as well as things to ponder as you go about your teaching day.
This week is conference week at our school. It’s always a busy week—teaching all day and then meeting with parents in the evening—but afterward I’m always a bit more rejuvenated. Conferences allow me to connect with each parent, focus on one child at a time and really reflect on each child’s strengths and needs. It’s a great way to maintain a connection between home and school.
January’s educator newsletter focused on the developing a strong home-school connection. There are some great resource links to templates and forms, as well as ideas and tips for communicating with parents.
What are ways that you use to develop strong home-school connections? Let us know. We’d love to hear about them!
