Our Dream Big Contest was so much fun, we're sad to see it end. Even though we were thoroughly entertained by every single video, our panel of independent judges from KidsQuest Children's Museum had to choose the winners. Grand Prize Winner

Valley Preparatory School won $1,000 with their video of “When I Grow Up: VPS Kindergarten 2009”. The judges selected this video based on a combination of popularity and creativity. It was a tough choice, but this video stood out because the VPS Kindergartners went the extra mile to make their dream come alive. This group of future doctors, teachers, ghostbusters, and jack-o-lantern makers created fantastic props and set pieces to show us all what these kindergarten math students want to be when they grow up. Great job!

Winners of DreamBox Math Classroom Licenses

For many, a love of numbers starts in early elementary school. Since teachers can inspire big dreams and go above and beyond when it comes to math learning, DreamBox encouraged classrooms to join in on the fun. Winners of 6-Month DreamBox Learning K-2 Math Subscriptions

Five children won 6-month subscriptions to our online math game for kids. The judges picked these videos based on a combination of votes and creativity. DreamBox Learning asked kids to "Dream Big" and tell us what they want to be when they grow up. And we were delighted to see all the big dreamers out there. From doctors and teachers to ghostbusters and Jedi, there were so many amazing big dreamers in the DreamBox video contest, it was tough for us to count - and we're math experts! To the many students, classes, teachers, and parents, we want to thank all of you for sharing your dreams with our education community. Here are some of the DreamBox video contest highlights that make us laugh, touch our hearts, and make us feel great about the future. We'll be announcing the contest winners very soon!

This DreamBox Jedi is dreaming of flying an X-wing fighter to take down those bad guys. Watch out with that lightsaber!

Sophia is dreaming of becoming a butterfly when she grows up. Spread your wings and fly away!

DreamBox "Dream Big" Classroom Video Contest

Juanita Elementary shows us how they will use math in their dream jobs of the future!

The Holy Rosary Pre Kindergarten Class is dreamin' of a great big beautiful tomorrow!

These kids have what it takes to become doctors, mommies and mermaids.
Watch out! One little guy might be Spiderman when he grows up.

The Valley Prep Kindergarten class has a future so bright, they need to wear shades!

Say What? Small Child, Big Word

How many kids want to be paleontologists when they grow up? Or can even pronounce the word? This little one wants to be a paleontologist because paleontologists "study bones." And then he goes into a spiel about paleontologists finding a "really big bone". No bones about it, this video is adorable! Watch it below. Good luck future paleontologist! This little girl wants to be a nurse practitioner and mom, "because nurse practitioners check hearts and make people feel better. And moms have babies." Words don't do justice to this video. Why is Math Important for a Pirate?

Counting is very important if you want to be a wealthy pirate. Finding buried treasure requires good counting and number sense. How many steps does it take to get to the spot marked with an X? When you have dug up the treasure, how do you divide it among the crew? If you have many kinds of coins in your treasure, how do you make sure that you have the most valuable coins? Is a piece of eight worth the same as a Maria Theresa silver Mexican dollar? If you are cruising in your ship close to shore, say a Treasure Island, taking soundings is a must. How many feet are in a fathom? What's the draft of your ship and how many fathoms under the keel are needed for you to not run aground? Understanding angles is very useful if you want to navigate nearshore, or by the sun and the stars. Every pirate needs math! (And no matter what your child dreams of being someday, you can enter the DreamBox "Dream Big" video contest here!)

Upload your video. Watch this instructional guide if you need help.

STEP 3: Go to our contest entry page and enter your email address and YouTube video URL.

STEP 4. You're entered! Now share; pass it along to your friends, family and everyone else.
