Teacher | Curriculum Designer

NOTE: This is a full time position located at DreamBox Learning's headquarters in Bellevue, WA.

DreamBox Learning has developed the most advanced, personalized E-Learning mathematics program for students in grades K-3. Using its intelligent, web-based adaptive software platform, DreamBox enables each student to learn mathematics at a uniquely differentiated pace. We are currently looking for creative teachers who deeply understand mathematics curriculum, assessment, instruction and common student misconceptions. We develop lessons and curriculum progressions that ensure any student on the planet can use numbers and operations fluently. A DreamBox teacher's classroom extends to anywhere with an Internet connection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
• 5 years of upper-elementary and/or middle school teaching; must include math
• National Board Certification preferred
• Experience with effective instructional practices used in mathematics classrooms
• Experience integrating technology into curriculum and instruction
• An inspiring desire to develop effective instructional technology
• Demonstrated ability to use data to inform instruction
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop math curriculum, assessments, and instruction to be delivered in a web-based environment
• Write, test and edit lessons, including creating virtual manipulatives
• Collaborate with company advisors and DreamBox team members to design digital lessons, embedded assessment, and sequencing
• Work closely with software developers, testers, and the creative engagement team to translate curriculum and assessment design into software specifications that ensure engaging learning experiences for students
• Interact regularly with other teams (marketing, sales, client care, etc.), company advisors, customers and students
• Cultivate relationships with teachers, schools, and other educational organizations in the fields of educational technology, mathematics, and curriculum and assessment
• Ensure product design reflects best practices and current research in education by sharing vision, gaining collegial support, and executing against Company plan
