BELLEVUE, WA, Sept 11, 2009 — DreamBox Learning today announced that it has won the prestigious Parents’ Choice® Gold Award for its DreamBox Learning K-2 Math online learning program. The top Parents’ Choice award is given to products that are judged as the highest quality, most appealing in their genre, pushing the product a notch above others. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math is an online math program providing individualized instruction for kids in kindergarten through second grade and is used both in schools and at home. The program’s lesson content is based on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) recommended math curriculum, and is presented through fun, adventure-based stories designed to keep kids engaged and excited about learning math. Just like a good teacher, DreamBox Learning’s GuideRight™ technology tracks how the child is progressing and dynamically adjusts the lessons accordingly. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math also has a detailed online dashboard to provide both teachers and parents with student progress reports, and sends parents helpful tips for further reinforcing their child’s learning.
The math program was built on the DreamBox Learning platform, designed by world-class software engineers to be a scalable and efficient way to create effective and individualized web-based instruction.
In addition to the Parents’ Choice Small Screen & Website Award, DreamBox Learning K-2 Math has won several other accolades including the esteemed Golden Lamp Award for Technology Innovation and the Distinguished Achievement Award for Educational Toys and Games from the Association of Educational Publishers. In addition, DreamBox Learning has also received the Editor’s Choice Award from Children’s Technology Review™; the Life Buzz Award™, which recognizes companies that develop excellent family products; the Tillywig Brain Child Award; the Dr. Toy Award for Best Vacation Program, and the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval. Lastly, The Toy Man Awards® bestowed upon DreamBox three honors including the Seal of Approval, the eChoice Award, and the Award of Excellence, which is only given to products that received an overall category rating of five, the highest rating possible.
