CES 2016: DreamBox Learning CEO Jessie Woolley-Wilson Joins Education Technology Leaders at TransformingEDU Summit

BELLEVUE, Wash. – January 8, 2016 — DreamBox Learning® (www.dreambox.com) CEO Jessie Woolley-Wilson will join fellow education technology leaders today as a speaker at the 2016 TransformingEDU Summit as part of the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The day-long event at CES brings together high-profile education leaders and entrepreneurs as well as academics, superintendents, CTOs and education policy makers to discuss new and existing technologies that will have an impact on student learning outcomes. Woolley-Wilson will speak on a panel that will explore tools for measuring educational progress and how “big data” is being used in education.

“Through the smart use of data, we can understand the best way to support individual students, moment to moment throughout their learning experience. This dynamic and continuously responsive approach represents true intelligent adaptive technology,” said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, President and CEO at DreamBox Learning. “Ultimately, we expect that this approach will reshape learning as we know it and help ensure that every child, regardless of his or her circumstances, has access to the high-quality education opportunities necessary to succeed in school and in life.”

DreamBox Learning was an early pioneer of adaptive learning technology and currently supports nearly 1.8 million active students, more than 75,000 K-8 teachers and is delivering more than one million learning experiences a day. Earlier this year the company closed $10 million in Series B funding led by Owl Ventures, including an investment from Tao Capital Partners. The new funds are being used toward the development of new capabilities for educators as well as innovations in the next generation of DreamBox Learning’s pioneering intelligent adaptive learning platform, which captures more than 50,000 data points per student per hour to personalize the instruction and help students develop a conceptual understanding of mathematics.

In addition to Woolley-Wilson, TransformingEDU Summit speakers include Don Burton, CEO of EDGE, Jason Root, CEO of Ruckas Learning, and Leshia Hoot, Senior Marketing Manager, Preschool and Elementary, of LEGO Education.

The TransformingEDU Summit is a unique event for thought leaders in the education technology space. Held in conjunction with CES, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, the TransformingEDU Summit attracts preK-20 administrators, industry executives, cutting-edge entrepreneurs, market investors and public policy leaders to discuss the latest innovations in education technology.

Woolley-Wilson’s panel, “Tools for Measuring Educational Progress,” will take place Friday, January 8th from 10:15-10:45 a.m. PST at the Venetian Hotel, Level 4, Lando 4301.
