DreamBox Learning named a “Readers’ Choice Top Product” by District Administration Readers

BELLEVUE, Wash. – December 21, 2015 — DreamBox Learning® (www.dreambox.com) announced today that it was nominated by K-12 leaders and recognized as one of District Administration magazine’s “Readers’ Choice Top Products for 2015” for making a positive difference in education. This is the third year the company has made the prestigious list in recognition of the inspirational and innovative way it helps students learn and excel in math.

“We are honored to be recognized by District Administration as a Readers’ Choice Top Product and believe that sustainable transformation in learning is only possible through a productive partnership with district leaders, teachers and other learning guardians. We are humbled by the market’s response to our K-8 learning solution and remain committed to providing new capabilities that will play a role in cultivating life long learners who are excited by challenge and motivated to think deeply to achieve mastery,” said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, President and CEO at DreamBox Learning. “When we empower educators, we create new possibilities for all learners, regardless of where they live or who they are.

DreamBox Learning supports nearly 1.8 million active students, more than 75,000 K-8 teachers and is delivering more than one million math lessons daily. Earlier this year the company closed $10 million in Series B funding led by Owl Ventures, including an investment from Tao Capital Partners. The new funds are being used toward the development of new capabilities for educators as well as innovations in the next generation of DreamBox Learning’s pioneering intelligent adaptive learning platform, which captures more than 48,000 data points per student per hour to personalize the instruction and help students develop a conceptual understanding of mathematics.

The annual award program is designed to inform superintendents and other senior school leaders about the best products their colleagues around the country use to achieve district excellence in a variety of areas, such as technology, sustainability and curriculum instruction. This year the winners were compiled from more than 2,100 unique nominations from the magazine’s readers over the past year.

“It was inspiring to learn about the products being used in today’s schools and classrooms that are helping districts succeed,” says JD Solomon, District Administration’s editorial director. “All of our 2015 honorees should be very proud of this achievement.”

The Readers’ Choice Top Products has been announced online and in the December 2015 issue of District Administration.
