DreamBox Learning® Unveils DreamBox Nation™, a Community for Educators

New online community will enhance teachers’ use of DreamBox and grow their instructional practice

BELLEVUE, Wash. — March 6, 2017— DreamBox Learning® today announced the launch of DreamBox Nation™, an online community designed for educators who use DreamBox to collaborate on ways to improve student learning and expand their professional skillsets. Through DreamBox Nation, educators are empowered by a strong network of peers to share their best practices in blended learning, build a deeper understanding of math, and refine best practices in pedagogy.

This online community, available from directly within the product, enables educators to participate in discussions with educators from across the U.S. and Canada to share ideas and strategies for effective math teaching, and find answers to their most challenging DreamBox questions. DreamBox Nation users will also receive early access to new features for both student users and teacher professional development. Additionally, they will have a direct line to the DreamBox team to give feedback and share ideas that will help shape future enhancements to the DreamBox platform.

“DreamBox Nation has been a great way for me to connect with other educators who are passionate about identifying student needs in the moment and providing great math instruction,” said Amanda Barber, K1 teacher at Walker Elementary in West Allis, Wisconsin. “I have learned new ways of using data to inform instruction and have enjoyed being part of the Professional Learning Community.”

Through DreamBox Nation, users can build status within the platform when they share knowledge, collaborate with peers and participate in fun challenges. The more educators contribute and collaborate, the more points they earn that are redeemable for rewards, designed with them in mind, including classroom supplies, professional development resources and technology devices for use in the classroom.

“We’re thrilled to give educators the opportunity to connect with peers so they can collaborate and share ideas that will help unlock the brilliance in each of their students,” said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, president and CEO of DreamBox Learning. “Nowhere else can educators share best practices at scale and leverage the experiences and expertise of so many other educators in a single place. The direct line of communication that DreamBox Nation provides helps us learn from teachers as the students learn through DreamBox and traditional classroom instruction.”

DreamBox’s Intelligent Adaptive Learning™ technology and curriculum are informed by decades of research about children’s natural development and growth in mathematical reasoning. A study released by the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University found that elementary math students who used DreamBox saw achievement gains.
