BELLEVUE, WA, July 23, 2009 — Pearson Canada, Canada’s largest education publisher, and DreamBox Learning, Inc., an award-winning software start-up, have signed a letter of intent under which Pearson will exclusively market and distribute DreamBox Learning’s web-based instructional products throughout Canada for use in both the classroom and home. Pearson will immediately begin to distribute DreamBox Learning K-2 Math, an effective, individualized, and engaging online math product for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
“We’re looking forward to establishing DreamBox Learning as a leading provider of individualized web-based instructional products in Canada,” said Marty Keast, President of the School Division of Pearson Canada. “The Canadian school system and parents alike are eager to tap quality online learning products that reflect a research-based approach to learning, while offering an appropriate engagement for students. DreamBox Learning K-2 Math delivers on both fronts so it was a clear choice to add it to the Pearson portfolio.”
“We are excited to be working with the leading education publisher in Canada to bring the DreamBox Learning experience to Canadian students, parents, and teachers,” said Lou Gray, Co-Founder and CEO of DreamBox Learning. “We look forward to many years of serving this growing market across multiple grades and subjects with effective, highly differentiated web-based instruction that helps students achieve their full academic potential.”
