Every day, great teachers are making a difference, but every student does not have equal access to truly differentiated instruction. With the global reach of the web and the power of software, DreamBox Learning delivers the effectiveness of great teachers to benefit any student, anytime, anywhere. We are successful educators, entrepreneurs, technologists, and creative designers. We’re also parents with a passion for helping our children — and all children — succeed through effective web-based learning.
The most effective teachers first look for clues to a child’s learning patterns, and then offer the individually-appropriate level of instruction to guide a student forward. They understand that there are many “right” ways to learn a concept or skill, and give each child time to explore and gain confidence. They adapt how they explain a key idea, provide hints, and choose the problems they ask a child to solve based on what they know about that particular child.
DreamBox Learning has captured these winning teacher strategies in an engaging online program. Our expert educators have created a deep, standards-based math curriculum with over 500 interactive lessons. Our designers have wrapped those lessons in fun adventures. And, most importantly, we don’t just check the number of right answers at the end of a lesson to determine whether to promote a child to the next lesson as other “learning games” do. Instead, our powerful GuideRight™ adaptation engine captures every mouse click, and constantly adapts and fine-tunes each lesson to best meet a student’s unique needs and learning style. This robust data enables highly sophisticated individualization, significantly increasing each child’s success rate!
We chose mathematics as our first product to meet the urgent need to build early math literacy skills for children. We started with the early years because all math builds on previously learned concepts, and we want to offer math from the ground up. In the coming years, look for us to deliver products that help kindergarten through twelfth grade students with math and other subjects, to give them the essential foundation for success in school and life.
