25 School Districts Achieve Million Lessons Milestone
Last school year, students collectively completed 300+ million DreamBox lessons!
According to financial journalist Monica Mehta, “the more times you succeed at something, the longer your brain stores the information that allowed you to do so well in the first place.” If that’s true—and Mehta has neuroscience and researchers at MIT’s Picower Institute for Learning and Memory on her side—then completing one million DreamBox lessons bodes well for students in the top-performing districts across the United States and Canada.
DreamBox Learning recently announced that 25 school districts each completed more than one million DreamBox math lessons during the 2016-2017 school year. To complete just one DreamBox lesson is to succeed. To complete over a million suggests that a generation of young brains is storing the vital information they need to confidently and competently take the reins and become the leaders of tomorrow.
DreamBox, which is used in all 50 states and across Canada, supports 80,000 teachers and 2.3 million students. Baltimore County Public Schools, the 25th largest school district in the U.S. and the third largest in Maryland, topped our list of high-performing districts by completing an amazing 8,032,817 lessons. Read the press release to see who else achieved the million lessons milestone.
