May Brings Blooming Math Month and a New Spring Math Activities Calendar
Now that spring is in full swing, it’s time to get outside and enjoy the blue skies with spring-themed math activities your kids will love. Start the month by counting blooming flowers on May 1st or take a trip to your local museum for Free 1st Thursday Museum Day on May 6th.
With the new May Math Activity Calendar, you’ll be buzzing about Blooming Math holidays all month long!
Teacher Appreciation Week 2010
National Teacher Day on May 4th is part of a week-long celebration to honor the people that dedicate their lives to education. Show your support during Teacher Appreciation Week by creating a teacher appreciation card, writing a letter to a teacher who has impacted you or your children, or presenting a teacher appreciation quote from a historical figure, philosopher or writer about the importance of teaching.
Our favorite quote is, “The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.” ~ Dan Rather
We hope you enjoy DreamBox Learning’s May Math Activity Calendar. Whether you’re embarking on your own adventure like the Lewis and Clark Expedition or simply making a trip to visit your relatives, you’ll have fun and exciting math activities to get the whole family outside and enjoying the fresh blooms throughout the month of May!
