New and enhanced features to scale personalized and engaging learning experiences for students this new school year

BELLEVUE, Wash. — August 9, 2022 — As teachers and administrators begin a new school year with students this fall, DreamBox Learning, Inc. (“DreamBox”), the leading education technology provider and pioneer of intelligent adaptive learning, today announced the launch of a suite of new and enhanced analytics and reporting features that help district administrators and teachers quickly determine where students are in their learning and support the unique needs of each student. DreamBox, the only provider of solutions rated “Strong” by Johns Hopkins’ EvidenceforESSA.org in both mathematics and reading, developed these features in partnership with district leaders across the country to accelerate student learning with just one hour of usage a week.

“Now that students have more equitable device and connectivity access, superintendents and district leaders tell us they’re focused on evaluating which initiatives and digital solutions have been most impactful for their teachers and students over the last two years,” said Dr. Tim Hudson, Chief Learning Officer at DreamBox Learning. “Given that DreamBox's math and reading programs are proven to improve student learning, we’ve developed exciting new features that give district administrators quick and continual insights about student growth, where intervention is needed, and how teachers can improve achievement for all students, regardless of where they start at the beginning of the year.”

New and enhanced reporting available now helps district administrators and educators:

  • Understand Student Growth and Proficiency: Rather than waiting on annual or mid-year assessment data, district administrators need insights about how students are progressing toward grade-level state standards throughout the year. To meet this need, DreamBox's new Math Standards Proficiency Report provides a district, school, and grade level view into student proficiency. Updated and accessible continually during the school year, this report also shows administrators how DreamBox Math is improving student learning.
  • Personalize Learning at Scale: To support differentiated instruction and student growth, math teachers have always spent time grading student work on written assignments and tests. DreamBox recently launched Lesson Highlights to save teachers time by providing never-before-seen insights about how students are problem-solving and thinking critically with DreamBox’s interactive manipulatives and rigorous assessment. This inside look into student thinking and solution strategies helps educators know more about students’ depth of understanding so they can better personalize learning for students who need more support.
  • Motivate and Engage Students: Requested and designed by students, DreamBox Math’s new Student Stats and Achievements page helps students track their progress towards learning goals and celebrate their achievements. These pages also equip students with additional insights about the lessons they’ve completed so they can discuss personal learning goals with their teacher.

These new features come as districts continue to experience increased learning achievement with DreamBox. A recent analysis of Pinellas County Schools found that students who completed an average of five or more DreamBox Math lessons per week (30 to 60 minutes total) for eight weeks increased more than five national achievement percentile points compared to students with low DreamBox usage.

Serving nearly 6 million students and 400,000 educators, DreamBox's Reading Plus program was also recently named “Best Personalized Learning Solution” by the annual SIIA CODiE Awards, the latest in over 40 top education and technology industry awards DreamBox Math and Reading Plus have received for its math and reading solutions.
