Jessie Woolley-Wilson honored for her leadership on heels of recent company award recognitions and strong company growth
BELLEVUE, Wash. — June 17, 2019 — DreamBox Learning®, the company that pioneered Intelligent Adaptive Learning™ technology, announced today that CEO and President Jessie Woolley-Wilson is the winner of the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Award in the Pacific Northwest region in the “Trailblazers” category. A top honor among business awards programs in the U.S., the program, founded by Ernst and Young, recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities, while also transforming our world.
Jessie was selected for driving DreamBox’s significant company growth, securing $130 million in investment funding from The Rise Fund, increasing DreamBox’s employee base by 523% since taking the helm in 2010, and expanding the company’s client portfolio to reach more than 3 million students and 130,000 educators across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
“I’m truly honored and humbled to win this award, but this recognition belongs to the entire DreamBox team,” said Woolley-Wilson. “Our team is passionate about providing high-quality education to every child regardless of where they live, where they come from or what they look like. We are reimagining learning and I’m fortunate to work with such an impact-driven team.”
“Our mission is to partner with visionary leaders like Jessie, who are building successful businesses that drive meaningful, measurable and positive impact,” said Steve Ellis, Co-Managing Partner of The Rise Fund. “Under Jessie’s leadership, DreamBox is changing the way children learn, and we are proud to be a partner in their success.”
This recognition is the latest of several major awards recognizing Jessie and DreamBox. Recently, DreamBox was named “Best Math Learning Solution” by the 2019 EdTech Breakthrough Awards and a finalist in EdTech Digest’s 2019 EdTech Awards in multiple categories, including adaptive technology solution, curriculum and instruction solution, math solution, personalized learning solution and founder and CEO. Jessie also received ASU GSV’s #PowerOfWomen award, which recognizes female CEOs and founders who have announced market-leading transactions or activities in the last year, and GeekWire’s “Big Tech CEO of the Year”.
As a Pacific Northwest award winner, Jessie is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 National Awards. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 16, 2019. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
