Located in Jackson, Wyoming, Teton County School District #1 serves 2,792 students in grades K – 12, with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to AJ Swentosky, Executive Director of Educational Services, Wyoming is big on standards alignment to ensure student growth. To meet the standards-aligned criterion, district leaders chose DreamBox as its K – 5 math intervention tool.
A dedicated fan of DreamBox Math since 2015, Swentosky has seen impressive student growth. “We did our own internal research to measure the effectiveness of DreamBox, with correlational analysis,” says Swentosky. “Students who completed more than 100 lessons on DreamBox saw an average of 12.43 percentile point growth. The number of lessons was directly associated with MAP growth within our district. [The growth] was especially pronounced for our K – 2 students.”
