Leveraging Professional Development to Equip Educators to Best Use Adaptive Learning Technology

In this webinar for the Blended Learning community, the presenters shared how a school that had transitioned to a blended learning environment equipped their teachers with professional development to allow them to best leverage the adaptive learning technology used in their classroom to transform the way their students learned and how teachers used data to inform instruction.  Presenters Rebecca Murry, Math Coach at the United Nations International School, and Dr. Tim Hudson, Senior Director of Curriculum Design at DreamBox Learning, discussed blended learning in the math classroom.  Topics covered included common misconceptions around what adaptive technology can do for teachers in their classrooms, how to best leverage professional development while blending your classrooms/schools, and steps to selecting the best digital curricula that will support your goals.
