DreamBox is Proven Effective at Math Instruction
Research organizations have measured the effectiveness of DreamBox Learning in teaching math and improving achievement for students.
SRI study finds DreamBox increases math test scores, as assessed by NWEA
Result: Independent research firm SRI found that at three Rocketship Education schools in California, students who received additional online math instruction from DreamBox Learning scored an average of 2.3 points higher on the NWEA mathematics test than students who didn't receive the additional DreamBox Learning instruction. These gains are equivalent to progressing 5.5 points in percentile ranking in just 16 weeks. 2nd grade Assessment Study
Result: 19% increase in test scores after 7 hours of instruction in DreamBox over 2 weeks. Based on paper-and-pencil before and after tests comparable to achievement tests used for accountability under No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
Embedded Assessment Study
Result: 50% improvement in achievement tests on curriculum units students completed in DreamBox Learning. Embedded assessments measured progress of students, ages 4-8, who used DreamBox at least 3 times over 2 months for additional math instruction.
