A great way to support your child’s learning on DreamBox is to help them set goals. On DreamBox, students can monitor their own progress to ensure they are invested and engaged in their learning. Challenge your child to set goals in the short term (ex: “I’ll complete 5 DreamBox lessons this week”) and long term (ex: “I’ll master these standards this quarter”). Another way you can support your learner is celebrating their perseverance and milestones. When math feels hard for your child, encourage them to persevere and provide them opportunities to reflect on their learning – asking them questions about math class is a great start!
